OUR DAILY ACTIONS
At Catnation we work tirelessly every day to secure the well being of thousands of felines across the island nation. Being a nation with one million inhabitants, but having a 2 million cat population, it is understandable that it will take a massive and co-ordinated effort to secure the well being of the whole felines population; nationwide.
Cat parks across the nation's main urban centres are the only solution to guarantee success. However, until these come into reality , the cats require daily attention and care.
Our organisation cares for thousands of cats on a daily basis. Some of the daily actions we undertake include:
- Feeding cats twice a day in many parts of town.
- Fostering abandoned kittens and injured/sick cats.
- Medical care and rehabilitation of injured and sick animals.
- Spaying and Neutering to exercise population control.
- Education and awareness of the community around the problems that stray cats face everyday in Cyprus.
As mentioned above, the cat population in Cyprus has exploded in recent years as such our organisation does whatever is humanly possible to save as many lives as possible and provide safety and security for the stray population. However for real positive change to come about we require the ongoing support of donators, local community and local authorities.
There are many ways people can assist us. The easiest one is to become a consistent donator however if you live in one of the cities in Cyprus and wish to assist in the daily food and vet clinic rans, please come in contact with us. Your help will be very much appreciated.
